Dear Valencia Park Parents and Families,

It is hard to believe that it is December already. Winter has arrived along with the busy holiday season. We have just completed our first trimester of school and report cards will be coming out on December 9th. This is an excellent time to sit down with your child to review his or her progress, analyzing each academic grade and setting goals for the next trimester. December is a short academic month, so it is extremely important that, during the break, your child practice the skills he/she has learned at school throughout the last few months.

It is our hope that you and your family have a prosperous new year. For many families, it has been a tough year. Many of you have weathered the storm of job uncertainty and other obstacles that may have come your way. We do hope that 2012 will bring you good fortune and cheer.

Whatever holiday you and your family celebrate and whatever special event you cherish, I wish you a season of happiness, peace, and hope. Have a safe and wonderful holiday season and enjoy the winter break with your child.
