Regular attendance is necessary for student success.
It is absolutely important that your child be at school on time
on a daily basis. Please make sure students eat healthy meals
and get the appropriate amount of sleep. In addition, students
cannot learn if they are not in school. Remember that it's vital
to maintain good study habits! Enjoy a successful year by working
hard every day. Are you better today than you were yesterday?
It is very important to keep reading skills
honed. If you are looking for a good book to share with your
child but not sure where to start? Here are some resources to
assist you in making selections.
California Reading Lists provide a great selection of books
for children based on both grade levels and English Language
Arts scores on the CST. This is a wonderful site to explore.

Explore websites for American Library Association, Reading is
Fundamental, and California Young Readers Medal.
Ask the children’s librarian at the public library for
suggestions. She or he love matching children and books!
Sunset Lane is a distinguished school. Let's make sure it looks
that way. Remember to keep our school clean.
Don't forget to clip your boxtops for
education.
Good Communication with FJUHSD Benefits
Your Child
Did you know that Fullerton School District information on State
and local testing is provided to Fullerton Joint Union High
School District (FJUHSD) to ensure a smoother transition for
our students from 8th to 9th grade? Along with teacher input,
State Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) reports and
Fullerton School District Benchmark results help provide the
most appropriate and challenging placements in high school course
work. This articulation between the two districts is one more
step we take to support all students in passing the California
High School Exit Exam.
