"In each of us, there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone."

John F. Kennedy

Welcome to Commonwealth Elementary School, where we are building futures for the adults of tomorrow. Our school provides a nurturing learning environment and is a place where children are learning and growing to reach their highest potential.

Our staff believes that each child is unique and important. We pride ourselves in promoting an excitement in learning, enhancing the quality of education for all students, advocating individuality, and encouraging lifelong learning.

Our exceptional academic program emphasizes English language development, fluency and literacy for all students. Standards-based lessons integrate reading, writing, and mathematics skills through all academic areas and address student learning through instructional strategies that reflect a strong focus on best practices in education.

Commonwealth students learn about themselves and the world around them. They learn to express ideas through creativity and innovation. Our students have high expectations for themselves and others. At Commonwealth, we encourage our students to dream big and to envision the contributions they might make in the years ahead to their community and to the world at large.

We encourage all parents and community members to join us in the important work of building futures for the adults of tomorrow!
