Open Enrollment 2012/2013
Open Enrollment for Intradistrict and Interdistrict Transfers for the 2012/2013 school year begins on February 21 and ends on March 19, 2012.
Parents who reside within Fullerton School District who would like their students to attend a school other than their school of residence can request an Intradistrict Transfer at their school of residence between February 21 and March 19, 2012.
If you reside within Fullerton School District and your child is currently a 6th grade student and you wish to have them attend a junior high school that is not your neighborhood junior high school, please go to your neighborhood junior high school and request an Intradistrict Transfer.
If you live outside the Fullerton School District boundary and currently have your student on an Interdistrict Transfer, the transfer must be initiated in your district of residence. These Interdistrict Transfers should be received at the Fullerton School District office by March 19, 2012, for consideration.

California Healthy Kids Survey
During the week of December 5 - 9, 2011, the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) will be administered to all Fullerton School District students in 5th and 7th grades. Students in 7th grade will only be administered Module A of the survey. The CHKS is sponsored by the California Department of Education and meets a requirement of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) for Title IV Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities.
The CHKS allows districts to identify the health and safety needs of students, establish program goals, and monitor progress in achieving goals. It is designed to be part of a comprehensive decision making process to help guide the development of more effective health, prevention and youth development programs, such as Safe Schools and our mandated wellness policy.
Parent consent and withdrawal forms and additional information will be sent home soon with all 5th and 7th grade students. This survey is required by the State, however, parents may opt out for their child by submitting the proper form. Parents of 5th grade students must return the consent form if they choose to have their students participate in the survey. Parents of 7th grade students must return the withdrawal form if they choose not to have their student participate in the survey.
If you would like to preview the surveys, please click the appropriate grade level: 5th or 7th.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Craig Bertsch, Office of Child Welfare and Attendance, at 714 447-7528.
